Celebration of 6 Year Old !

Happy Birthday Nick-man! I can't believe he is six (tomorrow)! Such a big guy and will be in Kindergarten this year! WE are so proud of the many things you have learned so far! What many of you might not know is that Nick has already been in "school" for at least 3 years! At age 2, wasn't talking much , so he attended an intervention program at age 3. He has gained so much knowledge and still working on the speech. Way to go big guy! WE love you and are so proud you!

Too many miles to count...

What a trip! Im still getting back into groove of things around here. But we had a great time visiting Chad's family in Michigan. First we made the 10 hour treck up there and when we got there, we got some much needed sleep! (on the way there , I realized I forgot my camera charger!...I'll tell ya about that at the end).On Sunday we dropped our niece, Ashley off at Camp Charith. Got back in the car and headed west to Coolwater Campground! Chad's brother and our sister-in-law run the campground. It brought back a lot of memories of me going camping with my family in Myrtle Beach, SC at PirateLand! Good times! We woke the next morning with kids everywhere! Well, the "cousins" were so happy to see each other! Ben, Joey,Chad and I took a canoe/kayak adventure down the Pine River! MY first time EVER in a kayak! I had a blast! I was quite sore the next day! the next day the guys finished the Pine River and later we drove to Manistee. It was such a cute town by the water! A storm was coming in that day and our trip was cut short, but I got some great photos before the rain hit! We then headed back toward the Detroit area so we could make it for Bella's 1st birthday! Everybody gave such great gifts but SHE gave us a gift, WALKING all over the place all by herself!
On our vacation I had the chance to shop at an IKEA for the first time!! That place is AWESOME! I cant even begin to tell you all the ideas of decorating and I became inspired in there as well!! Im so glad they have one in VA!!! Chad and I are making plans to take a trip there already!
We played at parks, the mall, and our annual trip to "the gazebo" where Chad and I got married! It looks so different with blooming flowers. Such a beautiful place! I say it was quite relaxing on some days...others we were on the go! We had such a great time that our oldest son didn't want to leave ! Another quite amazing thing happened, remember the charger for my camera battery... I was very selective on the pictures I took so I wouldn't waste the battery. Well soon the battery showed at half charge. I took the battery out for the night. And litterally prayed about! The next day I popped it back in and it was at full charge!! I don't know if they do that normally, but I took it as a blessing and an answer to my prayer! It was when we were in the car, driving out of Michigan and grabbed my camera to take a picture of a burning car on the side of the road, that my battery light was blinking which means recharge and doesn't let you take a picture! I was amazed how long it lasted with taking over 150 pics! Thanks for the
Great times in Michigan!!!

"Dog Days" of Summer...

It was a sad day in our houshold today. We had to say good-bye to our beloved "Tank" . What we thought was just a limp progressed quickly to him not being able to use his hind legs. As the vet explained, he was predisposed to this disorder...a mineral build-up with in the spine which led him to be paralyzed. This was a condition that was going to happen anyway. We will miss him and always think of the many memories we had with him.

Launching My Creativity...

As you can see,( also in the link to the right) I've been testing out the camera.By the way I would like to thank my hubby for the help with links, website domain and etc.He is quite smart in this field!)
A few days ago I was in my little "studio space" (yeah! I have a place to be creative!) and playing around with some photos and sketching ideas and etc. I noticed the sun reflecting on my computer screen so I turned around ... There were these beautiful jewels of water sparkling on my window from the storm we had just had, so I instantly grabbed my camera! I saw great potential in the droplets! As you can see I'm using one of the many photos to showcase my photographic art and I have a website underconstruction! I'm sure you will see this logo change and evolve many times...It's all about rediscovering my style. It's a start in planning what I love to do! I love photography, details, and even exploring different photographic processes. I feel like Im still in the learning process(I've been away from this for quite awhile) in a few areas of design and graphics but I guess that's the fun of being creative !

4th of July Sparklers!

Well, another 4th of July came and went. The biggest highlight of our day was watching the Space Shuttle Discovery finally lift off! Chad, my son was so excited to see it go! He is all about Space, Shuttles and Rockets! He's making the transition from Thomas the Tank to the "final frontier"! As for Nick, he's our train conductor at heart! We got together at my parents home and dove into a bucket of KFC ! and sides of course! We decided to head downtown to see the fireworks display. It was a great show! We decided to head home and get the sparklers out! Nick was apprehensive to hold on to them but Chad went at it! A very busy day and enjoyable for the whole family!
