The Twelve Days of Cancer
On the twelfth day of cancer,
My true love sent to me
Twelve lymph nodes limping,
Eleven surgeons surging,
Ten fingers tingling,
Nine websites citing,
Eight nurses nursing,
Seven hours infusing,
Six hours of snoozing,
A 5-fu pack,
Four colon scars,
Three fresh mets,
Two words of love,
And a pure kiss of empathy.
